First crowdfunded album release for Stream of Passion - April 2014

In 2012, Dutch progressive, symphonic metal band Stream of Passion made the decision to leave their record company Napalm Records and become an independent band.

Citing differences in their ideas as the main reason for the decision, they went on to launch an incredibly successful Indiegogo campaign to record their fourth studio album, smashing their €25,000 target by almost double.  Bass player Johan van Stratum said:  "Times are changing, and so is the production of music and the way it is consumed. By taking things in their own hands, bands have more freedom and fans are enabled to support their favourites directly."

The album, A War of Our Own was recorded in 2013 between their own studio in Tilburg and Sandlane Studios.  In March 2014 the band released this lyrical video for The Curse, taken from the album:

The album will be released in the UK on the 18th April 2014 and features 12 new tracks plus a bonus track:

A War of Our Own
The Curse
Burning Star
For You
Don't Let Go
Out of the Darkness
The Distance Between Us (digipack bonus track)

If you would like to pre-order the MP3 album you can do so here.

If you want to see Stream of Passion live in the UK, they are playing with Xandria at The Underworld, Camden on the 9th May, and The Dames of Darkness Festival in Bilston, Wolverhampton on 10th May with a whole host of Femetalism favourites.   We recently secured our tickets for the festival so will hopefully see you there!
