Xandria - New album, New vocalist - May 2014

Xandria are set to release their sixth album in May 2014, following the success of their 2012 album Neverworld's End. In October 2013 vocalist Manuela Kraller left the band to pursue a different career after just one album release.  Xandria have filled the vacant vocal spot with the huge talent that is Dianne van Giersbergen.  Dianne also fronts Dutch progressive metal band Ex Libris.

On listening to the preview it sounds as though the new album, Sacrificium, will follow the musical journey started with Neverworld's End.

The album includes 12 tracks:
The Undiscovered Land
Until the End
Come With Me
Little Red Relish
Our Neverworld
Temple of Hate
Sweet Atonement

A special addition version will include an additional CD of instrumentals.

Here are the preview tracks:

Xandria are a German symphonic metal band founded by Marco Heubaum in 1994. They are currently made up of Dianne van Giersbergen on vocals, Marco Heubaum on vocals, guitar and keyboard, Philip Restemeier on guitar, Steven Wussow on bass and Gerit Lamm on drums.

Excitingly, five days after the release of Sacrificium the band will headline the Dames of Darkness Festival in Bilston, near Wolverhampton, on May 10th.  Femetalism will be there and are looking forward to catching these guys along with a whole host of other female fronted metal bands.

Sacrificium can be pre-ordered from here and the first full track from the album is now available as a lyric video:
