Saturday 21st November will see, after five years, the last ever Valkyrian Festival at The Venue and The Riverside in Selby. Two more bands have been added to the line up; another on the Valhalla Stage at The Venue to play alongside Winter Storm as well as the headliner for the Danelaw Stage at The Riverside.
Playing the Valhalla Stage are steampunk inspired symphonic metal band A Clockwork Opera. The vision of guitarist and songwriter Paul Cooper, A Clockwork Opera build a symphonic metal soundscape inspired by the Victorian era and all things Gothic. They played their live debut earlier this month at Northern Symphony Festival, the UK's only symphonic metal festival.
Headlining the Danelaw Stage at the Riverside are Jeremy Lawler's Winter Edge, recently seen touring with Thunder And Lightning. Winter’s Edge is a self-funded Metal Project created in 2010 by guitarist Jeremy Ross Lawler, known for many UK based unsigned metal bands including Distopia, Aggrothesis, Signed By None and Dreadnought.
When the original Winter's Edge separated Jeremy decided to reclaim the name and go solo. Building on the project and searching for many guest musicians from all over the world, Jeremy has created something unique in the world of rock and metal.
Valkyrian Festival will take place on 21st November in Selby, North Yorkshire. Advance tickets are available for £10 from Northern Wynter Music and e-tickets are available from Skiddle.com.
