Post Bloodstock 2015 Interview with Winter Storm

Here is the next interview in our series of interviews with some of the bands we featured in our Top Picks for Bloodstock 2015 article last week.

Winter Storm are a five piece dark melodic metal band from the West Midlands. We have previously interviewed them for the site and the band will be playing Valkyrian Festival in November.  We were really excited to see the band on the Bloodstock line-up and keen to know what the band have been up to since we last spoke.  Guitarist and vocalist, Hannah Fieldhouse was on hand to fill us in.

"Well, we played at Wizzfest in Belgium in March, which went really well. The audience seemed to really enjoy it and it was great to play somewhere new. We have mostly been busy preparing for Bloodstock actually *laughs*! It's a big deal show for us to play what is our favourite festival, and favourite weekend of the year."

Winter Storm were invited to play the festival with Blookstock's Simon Hall and the band were incredibly excited. "Big shout to him for booking us, we were over the moon!"

They practiced for over a month to prepare for the festival, bringing a similar set to their performance in Belgium and working hard to promote their appearance at the festival. Clearly this worked well as the Jagermeister Stage fit to burst (we couldn't get anywhere near close). They also brought along a special guest to perform with them.
"The performance went really well. We were so grateful to see so many people turn out, and show us support. Thank you to all our friends, fans, Bloodstock, Simon Hall and our guest vocalist Bexie James, who sang one song with us.
Bloodstock is like a metal community, and so relaxed yet extremely well organised. A fantastic year with a wide range of bands. Suitable amounts of campsite madness, including a guy dressed as a Christmas tree...
We saw Sabaton, they brought a tank! How epic! Rob Zombie, Cannibal Corpse, Raging Speedhorn, Black Label Society, Ensiferum, Opeth & our friends in Triaxis to name but a few."

Winter Storm have some local tour support, and headline shows coming up in Autumn, and then they will be appearing at Valkyrian Festival in November. They are also playing the Wildfire Festival in Scotland, which is 24-26th June 2016.
